Outgate - Split Signal [sc00120] - Jani Rantanen
after his first techno release on sc together with psylocke, outgate has produced an even more wicked track. split signal is a very rough, rhythm-driven techno track. defying the 4-to-the-floor rhythm, outgate creates a superb bassline full of little clicks, small hihats and lots of kick. a slight off-tune lead synth provides the juice. nice job mate!
Jerzz - Organized Inferno EP [sc00123] - Jerzy Boscowitz
...and here it is! jerzz' debut on sublogic! this 3-track ep starts out with "aporel", a tech-ish deephouse track featuring nice synth lines over a pumping techhouse beat. constantly evolving and changing, this is a nice 'prelude' to what is about to come. "beukerin" announces the end of the laidback part, and kicks right in with an infernal tribalish beat. constantly hyper and changing, inserting little surprises every 15 seconds, it just keeps on going and going...
Various Artists - Funkenjerzz Remixed [sc00152]
already a while ago, jerzz released his rather grand weird twists of the mind album here on sublogic (SC00146), which featured the original funkenjerzz track. jerzz himself organized a little remix competition around this track, and we are being so nice to reward the best 3 of those remixes with a special appearance on our label. thus, the funkenjerzz remixes ep was born. one original, 3 different remixes by 3 different artists...
Unidentified Dance Objects - Trash-Tec [sc00131]
while udo's previous guestrelease was an icey dub track, this one is probably closer to what udo likes making best: tight, fastpaced techno tracks. fast loops, hysteric percussion, distorted saw riffs, it's all in the mix!
Jerzz - B.A.N. [sc00132] - Jerzy Boscowitz
we don't know exactly what hallucinogenics jerzz is on, but we would like some of it ourselves! at least, if we'd start making tracks like this, that is. prepare for some weird, weird techno coming your way. highly original as it is unusual, this is some psycho stuff you don't want to miss...
Jerzz - Weird Twists of the Mind [sc00146] - Jerzy Boscowitz
jerzz takes us on a 65-minute tour through his techno universe, ranging from pounding acid tunes (like tour d'acid and drunken acid) to dark clicktechno a la thinner (funkenjerzz) to typical weird 'jerzzno' (kraakpand). seemingly effortless he switches from one style to another, while it is eminent that each track has received proper attention, detail and class. my (tripwire) favourites include the frantic counting money and the dope-infested red eyes...
Raastin - Communicate [sc00159] - Jani Rantanen, Antti Lampinen
raastin has returned. those who can remember this track's predecessor, second chapter (SC00119), know what that means: postapocalyptic industrial techno from finland. in the 18 months since their debut, raastin collaborators psylocke and outgate have been going their own ways mostly, but now it seems their joint project is back where it belongs. and whatever these two men have been doing while going separate ways, it seems to have thoroughly improved their skills...
Psylocke - Butterfly [sc00143] - Antti Lampinen
hey, merry christmas everybody! we have a little present for you. :) psylocke returns with some of that sweet finnish techno sound. for means of comparison, it sounds most like that older release, the one that hurled the finnish techno style into our worlds like a runaway freight train - "second chapter" (SC00119), which was made by the same psylocke together with outgate under the handle raastin. again, our finnish friend treats us to some grinding beats, ripping noises, deeply driving percussi...
cadra - Less Static, More Noise [rtn008] - Casper van der Stelt
after well over 3 years of radio silence, cadra once again emerges from his personal dungeon with a new (and partially fresh) bundle of techno tracks. compared to its predecessor (rtn002): less synthesized, more sample-driven. less melody, more effects. less shine, more gloss. less force, more power. less darkness, more gloom. less static, more noise.
Jerzz - New Dimension EP [sc00137] - Jerzy Boscowitz
jerzz' new dimension ep is not for the faint of heart. our own techno mercenary is not afraid to scare, and does so in his very own way. indeed, new dimension ep will scare you in its blunt- and effectiveness. giving you no time to accomodate, it starts off with hard stomp (which does a pretty good job at describing itself). the terror-ish synth loops in the subtly named don't fuck my testikelz float on a thundering bass, with eerie sounds in the background...
Forcesupreme - Stylewar EP [sc00148] - Peter Horrevorts
as you may well know by now, forcesupreme has become quite an accomplished producer in a short time, and practically right after his previous release here on subco, which dates way back to early last year. honestly, we almost didn't expect another sublogic release from him after he got signed on x-trax. luckily for us, and of course, you as well, the truth is very different. forcesupreme returns with the stylewar ep...
Forcesupreme - Wired Angels EP [sc00118] - Peter Horrevorts
this is the debut release of forcesupreme on sublogic. his 3-track techno ep is not for the faint of heart, and delivers you with over 15 minutes of uncompromising loudness. although monotone as techno ought to be, the detail is quite large and you can hear the effort put in. the first track fishtank welcomes us into techno hell and sets the mood for the rest of the ep. pump is a hypnotizing trip with very nice edges and effects, but nonetheless a very rough experience...
Jorn-C - Dust [sc00140] - Jorn Copier
jorn throws his debut right at us, with this crazy techno track. apparently, this is the sound of him at his best, and we like it. check out the new maniac on the block.
Raastin - Second Chapter [sc00119]
just as we think we know outgate & psylocke, they come up with entirely different stuff... under the name of raastin they have made a banging, bleepy, and wild techno track that just keeps going; second chapter is just one of those tracks that everyone who even remotely fancies techno should have; distorted percussion, drones, effect-ridden basslines, techy noises and superb transitions... they just keep going for 8 minutes without boring me for a single second, and that's an achievement...

cadra - 21 EP [sc00115] - Casper van der Stelt
cadra's first 3-track ep on sublogic corporation is an acid-driven run through bouncy beatscapes, stroboscopic rave melodies and breakbeat-infested grooves. the first track, "gateway", is a remarkably sterile acid-rave track. nice, clean, just the way it was meant. track #2 ("forlorn") gets a little rougher: the beat is more distorted, the overall sound is harder, and the tracks evolves into an almost infernal climax of breakbeats, acid and a demolishing bassdrum.....

Various Artists - Routine One [rtn001]
the routine sublabel welcomes you with 4 tracks that honor its name. so as you might have figured, that means techno, mostly. subco newcomer (but scene veteran nonetheless) rvaggelen opens with a relatively soft and definitely groovy piece of music, "when she". warm pads and gentle leads make this pretty melodic, while the kicks are deep and hypnotising in a way, flavoured with a layer of minimal drumsounds...

Prkl - Variable EP [rtn007] - Petri Laine
as you may or may not know, "prkl" is a shorthand for "perkele". and as you may or may not know, "perkele" is a finnish cussword - according to fins, the most powerful curse known in any language. obviously, most fins don't speak dutch. then again, the dutch take on cursing in the worst possible way is to verbally chuck diseases around, whereas "perkele" may mean "god damn", "devil" or anything in between...

cadra - Artificial Untelligence EP [rtn002] - Casper van der Stelt
the second release for the routine sublabel features 4 hard-kicking acidish techno tracks, all produced by cadra. 23 minutes of madness follow. starting off on the a-side, "we've got forever" takes a wobbling acid loop with a pounding beat as a start and slowly builds up tension. cadra's put the compressor to good work, judging by the pounding feel of the bassdrum. the first half of the track is the warming up, after that we're in for some aggressive action, as the wobbling acid loop slowly evol...

Monopole - Hoping We Could Meet [rtn006] - Richard Sudney
after a 1.5 year-long hiatus, sublogic returns to bring you one of its most experimental releases so far. no manner of comparison can truly be made, but this one manages to supersede 2GI's release in all it's oddness. so are the works of richard sudney a.k.a. monopole. his procedure for musical creation involves such diverse elements as recording sounds in the field on the slightly frayed edges of civilization, manipulation of micro-samples, and abusing ancient equipment not originally intended ...

Outgate - Machinae EP [rtn003] - Jani Rantanen
the third instalment on routine comes from our finnish friend jani rantanen a.k.a. outgate, who returns after a break with more machinated techno material in a style similar to that of his rtn001 contribution "take me back". like said track, the musics on this ep revolve around a similar theme: start with a plain beat, break it down, add wondrous little sounds, make a lot of promises, and cut right back to the plain beat...

Outgate - Mute City EP [rtn005] - Jani Rantanen
it would seem jani rantanen is on a productive roll. under his outgate pseudonym, he treated us to the machinae ep back in january, and now he returns with more -though altogether different- intricate tech sounds. routine number five is called the mute city ep, and it's a mixed release in a fashion much like yasahi's when earth fell on the moon ep (flw002). having described the whole as "a deep, ambient like dip into tech land", jani starts off at "central" with clicks, pads and noises, and take...

2GI - Su Carmelo Bene [rtn004] - Simone Caronno & Andrea Casalicchio
at last some new sounds have arrived. routine release number 4 is this EP from italian duo 2GI, who have elected this spot to release their newest works instead of either of their previous release venues for reasons of this music not "fitting their roster". apparently, these tracks were deemed "too normal" for acedia and inv3rno. no, but in all honesty. what you will be exposed to upon downloading this release, is impossible to define with one word, or one sentence, or one paragraph...
